1988 – Conference in Singapore organized by Singapore Network Services to launch the ASEANet project connecting 6 ASEAN countries to the Singaporean TradeNet system. TradeNet is a nation-wide electronic data interchange (EDI) system for the exchange of structured trade documents and information electronically.

1988 – Conference in Lisbon, Portugal to launch the CEPexNet for the Centro de Exportacoes de Portugal, connecting CEPex Overseas Trade Offices around the world.

1989 – Market Intelligence System Workshop at the International Trade Center – World Trade Organization Geneva

1989 – Conference in Lusaka, Tanzania at the PTA Preferential Trade Area for Eastern and Southern Africa (PTA Secretariat) on the Trade Opportunity Monitoring System TOMS

1990 – Conference at the Arab Monetary Fund – for the establishment of an Intra-Arab Trade Information Network (IATIN), with the financial support of the United Nations development Program (UNDP) and the technical cooperation of the international Trade Center (ITC). ATFP has been mandated by the Arab Economic and Social Council, of the Arab League, to implement and administer the Network on a regional basis for the benefit of all Arab countries.

WISekey participated in the first Preparatory Committee (PrepCom I) meeting in Geneva, 1-5 July 2002. The secure e-marketplace was inaugurated by H.E the Hon Sushil Khushhal Chand KHUSHIRAM, Ministry of Industry, Financial Services and Corporate Affairs of Mauritius, who emphasized the security elements included in the portal using WISeKey PKI technology and the advantages that this technology will bring to Mauritius SMEs.
